This is the first affirmation I worked with and the story behind it!
A little over ten years ago I felt very defeated in life. I had tried to improve my life and made changes like moving and changing jobs, but it seemed like the same struggles kept happening. I wanted to change, but I had no clue what to do. I came across a catalog of books and cds. I found an advertisement for Michael Bernard Beckwith’s Life Visioning CD. The ad asked several questions along the lines of “Do you feel like whatever you do you fail? Do you feel like the same patterns are repeating themselves?”. I answered yes to every question that was asked. At this point I was so sad and depressed I was willing to try anything. I bought the cd and listened to it over and over. What he was saying really resonated with me, but it took me a few times to really grasp it. After several plays I remember thinking I needed to change my whole way of thinking. I felt like it would be in my benefit to start thinking more positively. One of the affirmations that Michael said was “I am available to more good that I have ever imagined, experienced, expressed or manifested before”. When he said it, I felt comforted and started saying it myself. I began to monitor my self talk. When I I noticed uncomfortable thoughts and emotions I said that same affirmation over and over again. That was my starting point. After about maybe two or three months, I noticed a shift. I was offered a job that paid more and had more hours, but I was concerned on how to get there. I took the job and a couple of days later, I was gifted a car to use for work!
